Brian Rasmussen

Brian Rasmussen is a Danish architect and lighting designer who has built his career across architecture, design and lighting design. After training at the Royal Danish Academy of Architecture in Copenhagen, he moved to Italy, where he developed an international career working with some of the most important brands in contemporary lighting and design.
His design philosophy stems from the meeting of Nordic rigour and Italian design culture. Every project is guided by the pursuit of a balance between form, function and light quality, aiming to create essential, innovative products able to engage in harmonious dialogue with architecture and living spaces.
Over the course of his career he has created collections for leading companies such as Martinelli Luce, Axolight, Modo Luce, Barovier&Toso and Casamania, also serving as art director for major names in lighting design. His creations stand out for a contemporary language marked by clean lines, technological research and constant attention to the lighting experience.
Through design that combines innovation, aesthetic sensitivity and a culture of light, Brian Rasmussen contributes today to the evolution of international lighting design, interpreting design as a synthesis of architecture, technology and emotion.
