It was 1979 when, in a small workshop on the outskirts of Treviso, Fausto Dalla Torre and his wife Luisa decided to combine their passion for lighting with master craftsmanship. This is how Il Fanale was born: a company whose very reason for being is the production of top-quality lamps, and whose story is written every day through products that enter people’s homes and lives.

Distributed in more than 40 countries worldwide, the company has distinguished itself through its Italian know-how, carried forward by people guided by the same ideals: passion for their work, quality and a bond with the local area.

The choice of noble materials that represent tradition, such as brass, copper and glass, combined with a special oxidation process – whose formula is still handed down within the family today – gives life to true works of art and light with a unique, inimitable appearance. Production, entirely Italian, combines traditional techniques with innovative technologies to create timeless products with strong design content.

Every creation is the result of a perfect fusion of lighting design, craftsmanship and technology, and is a tribute to the unmistakable Italian stylistic tradition.

Over the years, Il Fanale has been able to enhance its great craft tradition while constantly transforming itself, researching and experimenting with new stylistic concepts. This evolution of the brand gave rise to Torremato, the ideas lab that marks a new creative path in the world of Il Fanale, with the aim of bringing designers’ unconventional projects to life through strong, primordial materials, mostly natural and eco-friendly.
