Hsiao-Ching Wang

Hsiao-Ching Wang is a Taiwanese product designer, born in Taipei and professionally active in design since 2009. Over the course of her career she has worked in different fields, from household appliance design to tech accessories, progressively expanding her research towards furniture and everyday objects. In 2015 she founded her own design studio.

Her design language stands out for a delicate, welcoming aesthetic, mainly marked by soft lines, smooth surfaces and simple forms able to leave a recognisable mark. This sensitivity accompanies design attentive to function and user experience, in which essentiality never gives up on personality.

Products signed by Hsiao-Ching Wang span technology, accessories and furniture and have received numerous international awards, including the iF Product Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award and the G-Mark Good Design Award. For Riva 1920 she designed Mountains, a 2016 project that reflects her interest in evocative forms and the dialogue between matter, function and imagination.

Through a measured, contemporary approach, Hsiao-Ching Wang interprets product design as a balance between simplicity, soft form and attention to people.
