Beatriz Sempere was born in Alicante, Spain, in 1975 and trained as an industrial designer in Valencia. She took part in numerous competitions, winning awards and recognition. She attended a footwear pattern-making course at the Centro de Educación Tecnológica and later designed for major companies. Her true passion, however, is the home, and the study of its livability as an essential quality. She has therefore dedicated herself to researching forms that can complete the architecture of interior spaces. In 2000 she moved to Italy, where she continued designing furniture pieces, combining the Spanish tradition with a taste for refined, harmonious design that is also linear and geometric.
Today she works with well-known names in design and with various companies, overseeing product art direction. For Beatriz, design is expression, visual communication, an aesthetic language aimed at creating spaces where the human being is the protagonist. Stirring emotion is her ultimate goal, achieved by creating objects that appear different yet are linked by essence and unified by careful, functional technology. Beatriz addresses a diverse audience, always maintaining a clear, simple design austerity. Her romantic character gives soul to her work.
