Philippe Bestenheider

Italian creativity and Swiss rigour merge to create the unmistakable style of Philippe Bestenheider. Born in Sion, Switzerland, in 1971, he graduated in architecture from ETH Zurich and worked with studios in Switzerland and the United States. In 2000 he earned a Master's in Industrial Design at Domus Academy in Milan, where he was later invited back as a workshop leader.
From 2001 to 2006 he was Senior Designer at Patricia Urquiola's studio in Milan, working with companies such as Moroso, Molteni, Agape, Alessi, Axor and others. In 2006 he was invited to take part in the Promosedia exhibition. In 2007 he opened his own studio and works between Switzerland and Milan. Bestenheider works with Moroso, Pallucco, Fratelli Boffi, Varaschin, Frag and Galleria Nilufar.
