The brand
Medulum
Most of the work in carpentry, both mechanical and manual, involves processing wood, which primarily comes in the form of planks and panels.
The fundamental processes are straight and angled cuts, gluing, veneering, and surface finishing. This set of techniques, combined with the panel format, constitutes the basic ingredients we have decided to adopt. To create furniture with a strong character through simple and common processes:
Mobili Sintetici (synthetic furniture). Assembled boards that become volumes is the elementary aesthetic code we employ; there is no room for anything else. The geometries that make up the object are both decoration and form. In the generous and regular surfaces, one can appreciate the mastery and precision of a meticulous and accurate execution. The objects allude to a robotic aesthetic imagination with vague anthropomorphic resemblances. They do not seem to be born from a traditional process but rather the result of an experiment, a synthesis conducted in a laboratory.
