Karman

The brand

Karman

Founded in 2005 in the heart of the Marche region, in Fossombrone, from an idea by Davide Diamantini, Karman produces lighting collections for outdoor and indoor spaces. With a strong identity and great expertise, the company nurtures its deep Italian roots while looking towards distant horizons and international markets, where its products are increasingly appreciated and well known as the expression of a genuine, innovative Made in Italy.

In every project, light is a source of continuous inspiration, understood as both functionality and magic. Each lamp tells a surprising story through extravagant, playful designs that constantly redefine the idea of beauty and spark endless suggestions.

The Karman world moves naturally through an original, personal use of light in every setting. The company works with a number of designers whose styles blend harmoniously between tradition and modernity, driven by research and by the desire to amaze and inspire creativity.

The desire to dare, to experiment and to surprise: these are Karman’s goals. Through its creations, the company tells its own story authentically, speaking to all those who are not afraid to show who they really are and to move beyond stereotypes. In two words: Be Yourself.

Cobu by Karman is not a cube but its deconstruction: a textured wall lamp that plays with volume and light.

Story

A textured concrete shell encloses a patinated metal core, from which light emerges in a double beam. The surface can be painted and the lamp is designed for indoor and outdoor spaces. Edmondo Testaguzza, born in Backnang in 1964 and head of his own design studio since 1997, has a long collaboration with Karman in the search for new languages and new materials. Karman, founded in 2005 in Fossombrone, in the heart of the Marche region, by Davide Diamantini, experiments with unconventional materials and treats every design as a new lighting sculpture.
