Alivar

The brand

Alivar

Alivar is a Florentine company that for 50 years has been showcasing Made in Italy to the rest of the world through furnishings that combine creativity and timeless elegance.

The brand’s creations anticipate and interpret contemporary living, creating a current style that goes beyond trends. Part of their success is due to the creative spirit of designer Giuseppe Bavuso, who for years has passionately coordinated, drawn and designed unique and surprising collections.

The company constantly follows technological developments and research in design and architecture, with a range of products that covers every area of the home. These products are conceived for spaces where every detail has unique value and where each element is a point of interest to live with and to love.

An Alivar piece embodies the history of a family, the richness of a region and the tailored care of local artisans. Cutting-edge technology and know-how meet and become one: every Alivar piece of furniture is the result of an industrial process that skilled hands and age-old traditions make exclusive. The supply chain draws on the resources of Tuscany and jealously safeguards its local manufacturers.

Convivio by Alivar is a designer dining table with a marble top, designed by Giuseppe Bavuso. Its solid wood structure showcases the art of cabinetmaking through alternating horizontal and vertical grain, while its substantial thickness makes it the centrepiece of the dining room.

A table designed for conviviality

As its name suggests, Convivio is made to bring people together around the table. Giuseppe Bavuso, architect and art director of Alivar, has made it a piece with a sculptural presence, in which the woodworking and the natural stone top express a distinctly Italian elegance.

Available tops and finishes

  • Structure in painted solid ash (oak-stained, grey, wenge, heat-treated or black) or in Italian walnut.
  • Marble top: Calacatta, Michelangelo, Oriente, Emperador, Marquinia, Alpi or Calacatta Black.
  • Alternatively, ceramic top in Noir, Gold and Statuario finishes.
  • Ideal for dining rooms, open-plan living rooms and studies.
