Avro by Martinelli Luce is a pendant lamp with a power socket built into the underside of its diffuser, designed by Studio Natural. Hanging above the table, it brings power exactly where it is needed: plug in a laptop, a charger or small appliances without extension leads or hunting for a wall socket.

The dining table becomes a workstation

Studio Natural, founded by designers Marco De Santi and Alessandro Paoletti, starts from observing everyday life. With Avro it responds to a common habit: using the same table to eat, work and play. The light is dimmable, brighter for work and softer at dinner, while the socket is always within reach.

Martinelli Luce

The brand

Martinelli Luce

Martinelli Luce was founded in 1950 in the heart of Lucca, from the vision of Elio Martinelli, one of the most important lighting designers of the 1960s and 1970s. From the very beginning, the company has stood out for the creative culture and originality of design that run through every creation and, over the years, it has become a benchmark for Italian design worldwide.

The company meets the varied needs of residential projects with a wide range of products suited both to the most refined lifestyles and to everyday, functional ones, translating innovation into different settings and environments.

Essential and dynamic, Martinelli lamps are a perfect combination of rigour, functionality, technology and research, and draw on conceptual archetypes that make them immune to passing trends. In a word: iconic and timeless.

Their aesthetic language, inspired by nature and by the purity of geometric shapes, goes hand in hand with a strong commitment to innovation and experimentation. This has led to a number of creations that have won major international awards, such as the Compasso d’Oro.

The challenge Martinelli Luce sets itself is one of constant change: always seeking new points of view and inspiring people’s creativity and curiosity, so that they can see what seems ordinary to them with new eyes.
