The brand

Emu

A pioneer in technical metalworking know-how, EMU has been producing outdoor furniture for both homes and the contract sector for 70 years. Its pieces suit a range of styles, creating authentic settings that are ideal for enjoying the Italian garden in comfort, conviviality and relaxation.

With a revolutionary drive and vision, EMU was among the first companies to establish a series of collaborations with the best-known Italian and international designers and architects, thus bringing “design” into the outdoor sector.

Deeply committed to a 100% Made in Italy production philosophy and always consistent with the culture of its region, the company is now present on the international market with a distribution network covering more than 85 countries. The continuous exchange of experience and ideas and a global sales network, together with inclusive and sustainable ethical choices, have developed an international mindset focused on conceiving not just products but complete furnishing solutions. Tradition and evolution come together in a new sense of living, thanks to innovative material mixes and constant investment in advanced technology.

Demanding the best in quality, pursuing perfection in every detail and having an innovative mindset, including from a sustainability perspective: these are the values that have always guided EMU. EMU welcomes us into open-air settings with an authentic Made in Italy style, in which to meet and share the art of living the Italian garden.

Terramare by Emu is an outdoor small armchair in aluminium designed by the Chiaramonte / Marin studio. The structure stands out for its die-cast aluminium joints, while the seat and backrest are in Emu-tex technical fabric.

The die-cast aluminium joint

The distinctive feature of the Terramare collection is the die-cast aluminium joint, which recalls the way reeds are tied together. EMU produces 100% Made in Italy outdoor furniture in its own factories in Marsciano, Umbria, with long experience in metalworking and metal protection.
