S•CAB is an Italian furniture company founded in 1957 in Coccaglio, in the province of Brescia, by Francesco Battaglia. Originally specialising in the production of furniture and household goods, it gradually developed deep expertise in the design and manufacture of seating, which has become the heart of its identity.

Over more than sixty years of experience, S•CAB has built a path that combines manufacturing tradition, innovation and design research. Malvasia is an outdoor chair whose metal weave casts graceful, rigorous patterns of light and shadow.

Despite its apparent simplicity, its design represents a genuine manufacturing challenge: extracting the backrest and seat from a single perforated, calendered piece, then welding them almost invisibly to the tubular frame. This particularly complex process takes the metal close to its limit of flexibility and softens its impenetrable coldness. Evoking the warp and weft of a fabric, as well as the play of shadows in a tree's canopy, Malvasia is a chair that brings life to any outdoor space, be it an outdoor dining area, a terrace or a garden. The legs, with their double curvature, lend poetic lightness to the piece, whose minimal profile is completed by armrests and soft cushions.
